Admission Information

Undergraduate Admissions

The Department of Mathematics offers an undergraduate course of study that leads to the following degrees within the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences:
  • B.A. and B.S. in Mathematics
  • B.A. and B.S. in Applied and Computational Mathematics
  • B.S in Mathematics/Economics
  • B.S./M.S. in Mathematics (Progressive Degree Program)
  • B.S. in Economics and Mathematics/M.S. in Mathematical Finance (Progressive Degree Program)
In addition, we also offer the following minor programs:
  • Mathematics
  • Mathematical Finance

Graduate Admissions

The Department of Mathematics offers the following graduate degrees:
  • M.A., M.S. and Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics
  • M.A. and Ph.D. in Mathematics
  • M.S. in Mathematical Finance
  • M.S. in Statistics
  • M.S. in Computational Molecular Biology
All Ph.D. applicants must submit the following:  general GRE test score, subject (in Math) GRE test score, 3 letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose and a resume.

There is no departmental application nor supplemental application. All Ph.D. applicants will be evaluated for eligibility for departmental aid, no application is necessary.
